  dear friends,.

  i have a question for you... the jws teach jesus is micheal the arc angel right?

  so here is my question...according to the jws..is jesus a god or a angel??

  The JW's are taught that Jesus cannot be God because it is impossible to be both, if that is so, then how can they be taught the very same thing they are denying Jesus= God and say that Jesus is Michael the Archangel?

  That sounds a bit like a contradiction to me.

  I'm going to cry, cry and cry all I want. I only have a 11 or 12 gallon tank. It took me 45$ to fill up. When it used to only cost $15..

  Soon we'll all be sounding like our grandparents.."I remember when ___________ only cost ________!

  I remember just a few years ago, gas was only 1.54 and my friend from Europe came over. My other friends and I were driving around looking for "cheaper" gas. lol and he said, (as he pointed to every other gas station we passed) what's wrong with that one, or that one there, or that one. He said (at that time, not sure what it is now) gas prices in England were almost $5 dollars a gallon. I wonder what they are now .

  if an individual is in any doubt of doctrines that religions teach and they come across information like this, with so called evidence to prove or back it up?

  i think such sites that look very informative (with false information) can lead people astray.

  I came across this site, if I was a nonbeliver or lost I think I could be lead into thinking this information was right.

  This person(or people) went through a lot of trouble to prove their case, I wonder (because I have not read it through all the way yet) where they got their information.

  Invited to a baby shower-by someone who hates me

  i received an invite to go to a baby shower.

  no big deal normally, i love shopping for baby stuff, but this woman despises me.

  she has ignored me everytime we meet.

  I'm glad you noticed the "she's using me" before it was too late. I agree with the posters on this thread. Get the kid the stuff, it's a babyshower, not a wish list of what the adults could get. I agree, smack her for ever poster here. :-) I don't see how that kid will need a $240 dollar IPOD.. get a picture of one and enclose that. There's your IPOD lady. I feel bad for the people, to a point, but if you are not able to make ends meet don't ask for something your baby cannot really use. IF anything I would be asking for a carseat or stroller, like most normal people! I know those get expensive, a group of my friends and I went together on one for another friend of ours. She didn't even ask for it, but we all knew she needed one. When we asked her why she didn't put it on her list she said it was too expensive and didn't want to make people feel obligated to get one so she asked for really inexpensive stuff. She got more than she asked for.
  
  I cannot remember the poster who started this thread, I'm sorry. With time I'll get better with names. I would not go to the party. From your story I too get a sense of she's using anyone who goes. Who wouldn't give up going to a party, right? You are free to make your own choice, but I think you would be unhappy when she is not even talking to you once you get there. Don't get gift cards either, she'll save them up for that ipod. Get (if you do) actual baby stuff and condoms while you are at it. I know it's been said already, but it is true. lol

  FACEBOOK - How can you protect yourself from the elders?

  i am a member of facebook and have been able to locate a few long lost friends, including some are exjws.. i have also linked up with some active and inactive jws on facebook that i still keep in touch with.

  however, this means that other jws are able to see who i associate with.

  this has got already one person in trouble.

  My opinions of Crisis of Conscience and Awakening

  i read the two books.. awakening - this was the story of a married witness woman (elder husband) with family in the religion.

  she had childbirth/blood rh issues and had to deal with not 'associating' with a disfellowshipped daughter.

  throughout the book she wrestles with various issues and suffers mental anguish jumping through hoops because of the religion.

  No School?

  from what i've been gathering around the internet, jw's are taught that after highschool, higher eduation is not needed.

  they put the idea in one's head that it costs way too much to go to school,and put fear that they'll have a lot of money owed and will be in debt forever.

  okay that may be true, but they do not tell you that there are jr college that cost little to nothing to go, sometimes even free.

  lol Those things don't go with everyone. If they are going to get involved, they are in that style long before. I think I missed the boat on that. lol

  Oh yeah, you cannot miss meetings, their count will go down. oh no!

  I to this day have never had a drink (of beer or it's likeness). no joke.

  Personal choice on that not because anyone told me it was wrong.
